OMG Sir Michael Wilshire please wake up
I’m afraid you are a typical example of being part of a culture that has eroded self-responsibility from our society over the last few decades. You are out of touch with real people and do not understand the plight of what some families are struggling with. It’s likely the majority of the families you are referring to might have other things on their mind, like surviving, as they don’t have the resources they need to cope with life today.”
A recent State of the Nation report showed inequality in the UK is ‘entrenched’ and social mobility ‘virtually stagnant’ since 2014 with the Social Mobility Commission calling for urgent action. A day before this The Housing, Communities and Local Government Committee stated children’s services are at ‘breaking point’.
We have a crisis of knife crime today, I wonder if these young people, likely from the same struggling families are crying out for help and rebelling against a society we and you have created for them.
We need to change the culture in education, Sir Michael what are YOU going to do about it?
