Parent Champion Ambassador (PCA) 5th year Celebration
There are 12 parents who completed 3 levels of training over 2 years, which finished in 2013. We wanted to celebrate the 5th year of completion and were able to connect with 10 of the parents, 3 had previous commitments, 1 wasn’t sure and 1 who’s daughter had a virus that morning and couldn’t attend.
Many times over the last 16 years I’ve been blown away by the reaction, outcomes and achievements that parents have shared but nothing prepared me for yesterday. Five parents who hadn’t met since 2013 were able to meet and share their personal transformations, which was totally mind blowing.
They had achieved so much in their work, lives, families and other relationships. But what really blew my head off though was witnessing how confident, comfortable in their own skin and well behaved their 10 children were, despite them not having met before, but enduring the 3 hour reunion by all amusing themselves, without a single cross word.
Congratulations PCAs for all your hard work and resilience, you are AWESOME role models and your children are a testament to you and those you’re connected to. This has been the pinnacle of 16 years for me, our supporters and collaborators, it could only be surpassed if we were able to take this work into schools and empower the whole community to transform our society.
